Pricing guide

Standard Website

For a standard website the price reflects the number of pages.
Up to 5 pages will cost £200 with each additional page costing £20.

The price of a standard website includes:-

  • All planning, design and development costs (excluding custom logo design).
  • Incorporation of your content and images into the web pages.
  • Domain registration for two years (co.uk and org.uk domains only).
  • Setting up website hosting with a reliable UK based hosting company (currently UkHost4U).
  • Website hosting costs for one year with an unlimited number of email boxes.
  • Minor changes to the website for the first 3 months.

You should be aware that having a website usually incurs some ongoing costs:-

  • Hosting after the first year (approx £50 per year).
  • The renewal of your domain registration after the first two years (approx £10 per 2 years).
  • Changes to the content of your website by us after the first 3 months at £10 per page. If you think that you will be changing your content on a regular basis you should consider incorporating a Content Management System (see below).

Content Management System (optional)

If you are going to change your content on a regular basis we can build in a Content Management System (CMS). This will enable you to change your content online through an interface similar to a word processor. You will have control of the content on your pages without contacting us to change it for you. The one-off additional charge for this facility is £50.

On-line Sales (optional)

If you require the facility to sell a single item (or a small range of items) by credit or debit card through PayPal this can be added for a one-off charge of £50.

Full eCommerce with On-line Shop (optional)

We can set up a full on-line shopping solution for you with a searchable catalogue, a shopping cart, a check-out and facilities for accepting credit or debit card payments. All aspects of the shop can be customised by you including adding items to the catalogue, setting carriage charges, etc. using a protected administration area. There are no additional on-going costs for this solution. The set up of such a site would be in the region of £600 to £800.

How to start the ball rolling

Use our Contact page to let us know of your interest. We will email you back with a unique registration number and point you towards a data collection form where you can give us more information about your requirements. Please note that no payments will be requested until you are satisfied with the website design. You will find more information about the steps in the process in our Articles section.

Templates - a cheaper solution?

There are plenty of ready made website templates available on the web but a little investigation reveals that they usually offer very little in the way of value for money.

Many of them are poorly designed, difficult to customise for your particular needs and often use tables to lay out the design. This can prove quite a headache if you need to make changes, and you almost certainly will!

If you do manage to find a template which offers a suitable design using valid HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) then you can be sure that many other sites are using that template as well. Do you really want a website that looks like a few thousand others? Also remember that if anything goes wrong with your site you will not get the support you can expect to get from professional website designers
