building affordable websites

How does the process work?

Once you have decided to use us to develop your website and have a fairly clear idea of what you want your site to do, these are the steps in the process.

  1. Use the "Contact Us" form to let us know that you are interested in having a website developed.
  2. We will set up an entry in our client database to track the progress of your design and email you a unique client number which should be quoted in any communication.
  3. When you receive your client number you will also be given the address of a data collection form where you can give us more information about your proposed site.
  4. Enter your client number and submit the form (You will not be able to submit it without a valid client number).
  5. We will contact you by email giving you a quote for the design. The quote will include web hosting for one year and domain registration for two years. If you qualify for a free design (see our "Free Website" page) we will confirm this in the email.
  6. On receipt of an email from you accepting the quote, we will produce a draft design with dummy content, put it on our web server and notify you of the URL (the website address) so that you can comment on the design and request any changes by email, quoting your client number.
  7. We will modify the draft design in line with your comments, inform you when we have made the changes and invite you to comment further. This step will be repeated until you are satisfied with the design.
  8. We will inform you how to send us your content (text and pictures) and on receipt we will incorporate it into the design for your comments.
  9. When you are satisfied with the design we will invoice you for the quoted amount.
  10. On payment we will open a hosting account in your name with a reliable hosting provider, currently UkHost4U, set up a domain if necessary, upload your site to the hosting provider and submit your site to the major search engines.

Please note that no payment will be requested until the site has been finalised. However we do reserve the right to discontinue development of the proposed website if we feel that we are unable to produce a design that meets with your full approval. Should this be the case we will not request any payment for work done to date but we will retain all rights to the design.
